As from the previous film SLR setup, I have the Olympus OM-1 SLR and 2 OM lenses namely the 50mmf1.8 and the 28mmf2.8. I also got a $15 OM-Fuji lens adapter so I can mount the old manual lens to the Xpro-1 and now the XT1.
XT-1, dual EVF mode while using manual focus is a great assist for focusing manual lens in this case. I can concentrate on the compositon with the bigger screen and at the same time confirm focus on the smaller screen. In the past while using Xpro1 or similar mirrorless system like the Olympus/Panasanic M4/3, I need to use the magnification mode to confirm focus which I find cumbersome as there is an additional step and strain to my eye.
I use the 50mmf1.8 OM lens with the Fuji XT1 and had a shoot at the recent garden festival in Singapore. I have happy with the result and handling.
