A day at Jurong Bird Park

Brought a Xpro1 and 55-200mm f3.5-4.8 lens plus a Fim OM-1 w 28mm, I headed out to the Jurong Bird park with my family for a stroll.

This could be our last trip there as the Bird park which is already 45 years old will be moving to a new home at Mandai.

This is more a family trip and not a specific photography outing therefore not much good photo or opportunity were capture.

Nevertheless, there are some interesting scene like the whistling duck bathing, 2 Junveline green lizards and a family of ducklings were spotted as we were strolling.

The sharpness of the 55-200mm is no doubt good as seen with the colorful portrait of the lorikeets bird.

What's in my bag

Camera bag is one of the headache item in photography. I want a bag that doesn't looks boxy or heavy on it's own. It need to be expandable when needed and compact when I just want a simple set up.

So currently, I have a Lowepro Passport sling 3 and a used Domke F3X for my film and digital gear.

The Domke is used when I want to bring both Olympus OM-1 and Fuji Xpro-1 (with their lenses). I have also bought a OM-FX lens Adapter where I can use the olympus 28mmf2.8 and 50mmf1.8 on my digital Xpro1.

With the setup, I have both film and digital gear to play with. There are time I will just use the OM-1 and Xpro-1 with the 2 OM lens.
